MARCH WEBINAR: Pressure Relief Devices Supplied by Equipment Manufacturers
Some equipment related to specific processes in upstream and downstream oil & gas processing facilities and chemical plants are requested by the purchaser to be supplied with pressure relief devices provided by the manufacturer. It is incumbent upon the purchaser to provide the necessary information to size the devices or to perform an independent analysis to identify all potential overpressure scenarios that may be specific to that installation. Without the necessary information, the manufacturer may provide safety valves conforming to the minimum requirements in equipment design standards. This can create gaps insofar as the pressure relief devices being sized to provide adequate capacity for all credible overpressure scenarios unique to the specific process for which the equipment is being purchased.
In this webinar, we'll review a few examples of equipment that commonly have gaps in relief device adequacy, including Deaerators, Blow-Off Vessels, and Low Pressure Tanks.
